Another great read by Jones. Spoiler alert.This one starts in 1989 USSR.
Grigori Durov works for the KGB. He is also a double agent working for America.
Durov meets his American contact, William Janzski, known as the Red Disciple, who works for the CIA. Unknown to either man they have been betrayed.
This betrayal will end with Durov killing himself as he's about to be arrested by the KGB and Janzski being taken prisoner, tortured and leaking info the KGB. Unknown to Janzski he was the Trojan horse his CIA boss sacrificed to bring down the USSR.
Thirty years later Janzski is a multimillionaire. A man with missing digits on both hands and an eye patch all courtesy of his Russian interrogators. Janzski is looking for revenge. Revenge from the man who led the CIA at the time of his arrest. That man, Meachem is now the POTUS.
Janzski using the Black Key, a computer program, launches missiles at North Korea. The ship they launched from has no idea who took over their entire system. The black key can take over any system anytime. Janzski aborts the mission before the missiles, unarmed missiles, hit North Korea. His test is done.
The next thing he does is take over Air Force 2. The plane has the VP and several senators on board. This time he crashes the plane killing all on board. This test is also done.
He also contacts President Meacham and lets him know exactly who he's dealing with. The Red Disciple. A man Meacham sacrificed. A man who underwent torture and spilled exactly what Meacham wanted him to spill. A price Meacham was upset about but it was a price he knew he had to pay. A price to bring the USSR down. Janzski then tells Meacham exactly what he wants.
So begins one damned fine read.
This one has Jon Jericho, the Hunter, his team, The Centurion Group, consisting of Jon Jericho ex Delta, Sam Peyton ex Green Beret, Peter Haynes ex Army Ranger, Sebastian Miles also ex Delta, Jeff Mancini current head of the CIA, President Meacham, William Janzski, Janzski's impregnable compound in Pretoria, South Africa, Antonio Braga who is Janzski's head of security, his many men and dogs, a Braga who knows no one could break into the compound, a Jon and team who have to figure a way in, a Jon and team who have less than forty eight hours to get into the compound, a Jon who comes up with an ingenious idea, a team who have to carry it out, a Braga who is outsmarted and Jon Jericho and his team doing their best to stop Janzski, survive and stay alive.
Five stars. Super read.

You never think things can happen but with the ever increasing problems around the world- cyber terrorism is and will an ever increasing problem. This explains how it could play out!
Far surpasses the first book. More plot, more character development, more suspense, less violence ( for violence sake). Now looking to read #3.
Great story line and super creative. Jericho is on even ground with Kolt and Garcia as far as adventure and spence go.
Wow Another great Hunter book.... Lots of action and thrills. The scary part for me was that some of it or
all of it could and can happen.....
As usual Rick Jones comes through with some extraordinary stories. He keeps getting better and better. Truly enjoyed book 2 in this series. I recommend both book 1 and 2. Fast paced and highly entertaining.
Rick has done it again with a story that kept me glued to my tablet. Every story I read is better then the last. He has a way of picking the best characters. In this last book it was to see how Jon was able to interact with his new son and how he reacted to the President and his explanation. I look forward to reading the next book. Thanks Rick.
